Working as an intern at Promega, a biotechnology company in Madison, was a rewarding and insightful experience that included diverse opportunities to develop new skills and take a bold step toward a successful career after graduation.

Rewarding Project Involvement

Megan’s portfolio of work included the Promega’s DOORS scholarship initiative where she conducted research on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), and other diverse educational institutions across the United States. She had the opportunity to announce the 10 scholarship winners through their social media platforms and create an interactive Foleon document highlighting each scholar and their research projects.

Another project that brought her a great sense of accomplishment was running the social media for Promega’s training support program. She selected visuals, crafted compelling copy, and planned out the posting schedule. This hands-on role allowed her to witness the direct impact of her creative efforts.
