Interested in Joining a Student Organization?

Joining a student organization is a great way to discover more about your major and career. The Department of Journalism at UW Oshkosh offers four organizations for students to get involved with. Listed below are the fall 2012 meeting times for each club:

PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) : Meetings are held every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Sage 3420

Ad Club: Meetings are held every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Sage 3408

SPJ (Society of Professional Journalists): Meetings are held every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in Sage 3408

Photo Club: TBD

Coming Soon: Journalism Convocation Event on September 26, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in Sage 3408  This event is open for all journalism students and students interested in studying journalism.  It is an opportunity for you to meet your professors and get to know more about your major. Topics covered during the event include:

  • Introduction to journalism faculty and staff
  • Introduction to clubs – posters and information
  • Journalism advising guidelines
  • Website and scholarship information
  • Q&A session

Did we mention there will be free pizza?  Don’t miss this opportunity to eat some free food, talk with professors and gain a better understanding of your major!
