Web 2.0 has put you in control. With the advent of social media, you can generate content without having to know HTML, design or anything specific. You don’t even need to know how to write. However, as professionals with a desire to use social media effectively (and not just add to the babble), there is a need to understand each element of social media and its place in your future career.
No matter what emphasis you pursue, you will need to be educated in, or at the very least acquainted with, all forms of social media. Even though you may not directly use a specific tool, you will probably work with someone who does.
This section of the blog aims to provide quick access to how-to guides on common social media tools and some of the skills you may eventually need to do your job better.
We’d also like to take a moment to shine the spotlight on our current students who are engaging in social media. Blogs, twitter accounts, LinkedIn: this is your place to connect and see what your peers are up to.
